Hello, my name is India! I'm a certified postpartum doula and infant care specialist living in and serving the Metro Detroit area. As a doula, I use my love of childcare and the postpartum stage to provide families of all kinds with the best support possible. I am a music-loving wife and mother of two. For over twenty years, my career was in the healthcare field and as a preschool teacher, but my passion has always been working with women and children. After years of chatting with family, friends and other associates about our lives as parents, I realized that my husband and I were not the only ones dragging through sleepless nights and long, sometimes overwhelming days. It wasn't until years later that I found myself on the path to becoming a doula. It is one of the most satisfying and joyous feelings to be welcomed in and to help families during the fourth trimester. Once you're home with your new baby or child, there are many changes that may require some additional support. That's when I'll come to your home and offer hands-on assistance so you and your family can transition into this new stage of life a little more smoothly. I will arrive at your home day or night and I can assist with light housework, infant and sibling care, nursery organization, infant laundry, and various other tasks. This, in turn, allows you to get that shower or much-needed nap you've been missing out on.
