Hello and welcome! If you are wondering what exactly a postpartum doula can offer you, let me explain. I am a trained, certified, and experienced professional that can offer a variety of services, both emotional and practical. My services include, but are not limited to postpartum care of the mother and baby/babies, light housekeeping, childcare assistance for older siblings, nursery set up and organizing assistance, along with physical care for the recovering parent and support for the other family members in the household. I also offer assistance for fostering and/or adoptive parents.
About Me
Hello, my name is India! I'm a certified postpartum doula and infant care specialist living in and serving the Metro Detroit area. As a doula I use my love of childcare and the postpartum stage to give families of all kinds the best support possible.
I am a music loving, wife and a mother of two. For twenty plus years my career was in the healthcare field and as a preschool teacher, but my passion has always been working with women and children. After years of conversing with friends and other associates about our lives as parents, I realized that my husband and myself were not the only ones dragging through sleepless nights and long, sometimes overwhelming days. It wasn't until years later that I found myself on the path of being a doula. It is one of the most satisfying and joyous feelings to be welcomed in and to be able to help families during the fourth trimester.

Once you're home with your new baby/child, there are a lot of changes that may require some additional support. That's when I'll come to your home and offer hands on assistance, so that you and your family can transition into this new stage of life a little smoother. I will arrive at your home day or night and can assist with light house work, infant and sibling care, nursery organization, infant laundry and various other tasks. Which in turn allows you to get that shower or much needed nap you've been missing out on. I offer a lot of traditional and nontraditional services, so feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.​

I'm here to make life a little easier for you and your family, so that includes helping with the other children in your home. Whether you are in need of care for a child while you are laboring/delivering or for running errands or a date night, I can help with that as well.
